DAVID & KATE YOUNG

Meet Our Family

A bond is forged in that instant a father holds his infant daughter for the first time; this bond will define their lives from that moment forward.

For David Young, this bond has extended into his professional life, first with his eldest Kate joining the team and most recently with Emma. And we can’t forget mum either; she may not be selling but the delicious treats we have come to know and love at our client gatherings are made by none other than the matriarch of the Young family, Maureen. So when working with the Young’s you’re truly working with ‘family’ and we pride ourselves in taking care of our clients as just that.

Kate Young

BROKER

Since the age of 6, Kate has been tagging along with David on sales calls and showings, so much so that his clients would ask where his ‘sidekick’ was when he would go alone. So after graduating from Queens University it was a natural progression for Kate to join David in the business in 2005.

Kate’s heart and love for people is as boundless as her knowledge of Real Estate. She is passionate about the profession and is a longtime volunteer in organized real estate. She has been twice elected to the position of Director-at-Large on the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board. She currently chairs the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, is Vice-Chair of the Government Relations Committee, and is a member of the Executive Committee. A past Board Member of the Ontario Realtors Care Foundation, she currently serves on the Finance and Audit Committee of the Foundation. In her local community she is involved in fundraising and classroom reading at her children’s school - which she herself attended, trying to give back wherever she can.

In her spare time Kate can be found spending time with her husband Rob, their 2 young children, and their dog, and reading up on local history - a subject she has loved since childhood.

David Young

Sales Representative

Initially David followed in his father’s footsteps by entering the retail food market industry, but after selling the business he decided to enter into an entirely different market but one where his skill set would transfer seamlessly; real estate. David’s natural charm and ability to speak to anyone about anything plus the flexibility it gave him to help others made real estate the perfect path. It’s been said that if you choose a job you love you will never have to work a day in your life and that rings true for David as you can see the same passion in his eyes that was there when he started his real estate career back in November 1986 at Kingsway National Real Estate at 3300 Yonge Street, just up from the first fruit market his father opened in 1934.

When David isn’t working and wowing our clients with the depths of his memory (he can tell you every detail about any house that he’s ever sold!), he can be found whipping up a batch of his famous egg rolls (we dare you to find someone that makes them better).

Emma Young

Director of operations & sales representative

Emma brings with her a wealth of experience in customer service. Being the last ‘Young’, not only do sales run through her blood, but her previous role for the last ten years as Sales Manager in the film industry.

When Emma isn’t charming our clients or being the BEST auntie there is,  she can be found rummaging through vintage shops with her Cock-a-poo, Rudy or curling up on the couch and getting lost in a great book.
